Appointments

Named Accountable GP

From 1st April 2015, practices are required to allocate all patients (including children) with a named accountable GP.

Your named accountable GP is Dr R Bodapati.

The named GP is responsible for the coordination and delivery of all appropriate services, where required based on clinical judgement, to each of their patients.

  • Patients do not need to see their named GP when they book an appointment with the practice.
  • Patients are entitled to choose to see any GP or nurse in the practice.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face.
  • If you need an interpreter.
  • If you have any other access or communication needs.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Please try to attend appointments on time or to give the practice adequate notice that they wish to cancel (minim 48 hours) – lateness or non-attendance inconveniences other people and wastes appointment time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, you will have to wait until the end of surgery or reschedule the appointment.

If you have missed your appointments 3 times or more, you next appointment can only be booked with the discretion of the Practice Manager or the doctor or you will be asked to meet the Doctor or Practice Manager. Please treat your doctor and their staff as you would expect to be treated by them – with respect and politeness.

If you need help when we are closed

For urgent advice and treatment during surgery closing times and weekends please ring  111

Patients are reminded that the out of hour’s emergency service is for genuine medical emergencies only. By this we mean serious medical problems that cannot wait until the next morning or the next available surgery.  Click here for more information about services available when wer'e closed

Home Visits

Home visits should be requested only if the patient is unable to attend the surgery as the surgery provides the best conditions for assessing and examining the patient.

Make sure you request a home visit before 10.30am if possible and it would help if you could tell the Receptionist the nature of the problem so that the most urgent cases can be given priority.

If you are in someone else’s residence please inform the staff the address and telephone number.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You may also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
